Privacy Policy

CultureSync (“we,” “us”) is operated by an individual based in Israel, serving users in both Israel and the United States. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
- Account data: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture; with email sign-in, just your email address.
- Calendar preferences: the calendars, holidays, and personal dates you configure in the wizard. Stored in your browser (localStorage) before sign-in and in our database after sign-in.
- Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) kept briefly for security and debugging.
- Usage analytics: anonymous, aggregated site statistics (page views, referrer, browser type, country, page load speed) collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics. This is cookieless and stores no personal identifiers, so we cannot see who you are or track you across sites.
How we use it
- To generate your personalized calendars and PDFs.
- To save your preferences so they persist across visits.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To communicate with you about your account if needed.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below, which are required to run the product.
Service providers
To operate CultureSync we use the following providers. Each has its own privacy policy, and data is processed according to their terms:
- Google: OAuth sign-in (receives basic profile info).
- Lemon Squeezy: payment processing as merchant of record. When you buy, Lemon Squeezy receives your email and payment details and issues your receipt. We never see or store your card number.
- Supabase: database and authentication hosting.
- Vercel: frontend hosting and serverless routing.
- Render: backend API hosting.
- Cloudflare: DNS, traffic proxying, and security filtering for our API (processes IP addresses and request metadata), plus privacy-first web analytics (cookieless, aggregated, no personal identifiers stored).
- Google Gemini / OpenAI: only if you use the AI import feature: the text you paste is sent to one of these providers to extract event dates. It is processed under their API terms and is not used to train their models.
Your calendar link
If you turn on a calendar link, we store your generated calendar securely so your calendar apps can read it from your private link. Anyone with the link can see your calendar.
You can disable your link or generate a new one at any time, allowing you to manage who sees your events.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@culture-sync.com.
You can also delete your preferences locally by clicking “Start Fresh” in the app, which clears the data stored in your browser.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to erase your account by writing from your account’s email address to support@culture-sync.com. We remove your calendar and account within 30 days, keep sales records without your personal details, and erased accounts leave our backups within 180 days.
Children
CultureSync is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email.
