Privacy Policy

CultureSync (“we,” “us”) is operated by an individual based in Israel, serving users in both Israel and the United States. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

• Account data — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
• Calendar preferences — the calendars, holidays, and personal dates you configure in the wizard. Stored in your browser (localStorage) before sign-in and in our database after sign-in.
• Technical data — basic server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) kept briefly for security and debugging.

How we use it

• To generate your personalized calendars and PDFs.
• To save your preferences so they persist across visits.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To communicate with you about your account if needed.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below, which are required to run the product.

Service providers

To operate CultureSync we use the following providers. Each has its own privacy policy, and data is processed according to their terms:

• Google — OAuth sign-in (receives basic profile info).
• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel — frontend hosting and serverless routing.
• Render — backend API hosting.
• Stripe (future) — payment processing when paid PDF downloads launch. We never see or store your card details.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@culture-sync.com.

You can also delete your preferences locally by clicking “Start Fresh” in the app, which clears the data stored in your browser.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Children

CultureSync is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email.
